Worked as a consultant for MilliporeSigma to improve the food testing process in their laboratory. Identified various bottlenecks, categorized them using Industrial Engineering methodologies, identified the most important issue and resolved it by working along with 4 Industrial Engineering undergraduate students.
As a Mechanical Engineer, my tasks included designing the modified cart top, performing stress analysis, working with contract manufacturers and assembling the product.

Achievements
Won 3rd Prize in project poster presentation out of 11 teams
Reduced the resource count by 1 by replacing the lifting task by sliding
Designed the cart top for 150% capacity so that when the testing increases, the cart will be able to handle the increased load
Improved the ergonomics of the workplace by eliminating repetitive lifting action
