The project was part of the coursework requirement. It consisted of designing an 7 ton electrical overhead traction crane. With a team of 9 senior undergraduate mechanical engineering student, we designed & analyzed the EOT crane . The project entailed performing load analysis, selection of 3rd party components, creating high fidelity CAD drawings, analyzing the design for structural integrity, creating manufacturing drawings & technical report.
My responsibility included designing the snatch block, creating multiple CAD designs of the different components and creating manufacturing drawings.
