The project was part of the coursework requirement. It consisted of creating a repair design for damage to a horizontal stabilizer of a commercial aircraft. With a team of 5 senior and graduate mechanical engineering students, we developed a viable repair solution and presented it in front of a group of BOEING engineers. The project entailed qualifying & quantifying the damage, selecting, designing and analyzing the repair for feasibility & manufacturability.
My responsibility included creating multiple CAD designs of the repair solution, material selection, performing load analysis.
