Product Design Lead for the development of the charger, ear tips, and packaging product assemblies from concept to mass production, utilizing a wide range of manufacturing processes including injection molding, compression molding, sheet metal, die cutting, PCBA, and FPGA manufacturing
Performed DFM reviews with contract manufacturers in Asia, sourced materials from global vendors to maintain highest standards for production for components with annual volumes exceeding 100k units
Defined, designed experiments (DOEs), built and tested prototypes and performed feasibility studies to inform design decisions, including the selection of pogo pins and magnets, hinge design, ear tips forces, and packaging user experience
Developed comprehensive documentation including 2D drawings using GD&T, stackup analysis, requirement development, decision matrices, limit samples, standard operating procedures, testing protocols, inspection reports, and Cp/Cpk reports to support and streamline the product development process
Successfully managed bill of materials (BOM), ensuring meticulous tracking, organization, and updates of all parts and documents within the PLM system, demonstrating strong project management skills and attention to detail
Collaborated with cross-functional teams including Industrial Design, Clinical, Product Management, Electrical, Quality Control, Marketing, and Upper Management to identify and implement optimal product solutions, ensuring alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations
